FINANCES (Savings)

Access long-term saving if needed. Understand the tax penalties for withdrawals vs. loans. Read IRS information about penalties HERE.

FOOD

Assess your food and household supplies. Reach out to family, religious groups, or community food banks for assistance. Click HERE for community food assistance options.

INSURANCE

Follow up with your employer human resources department if you filed for COBRA insurance. Confirm application is accepted and coverage will continue.

EMPLOYMENT - SHORT TERM

Assess the need for short-term employment. Apply with temporary employment agencies or with the Utah Department of Workforce Services.

EMPLOYMENT RETURN (FEDERAL WORKERS)

Know the timeframe that you need to report back to work if you are furloughed. Do you have 24 hours or only 12 hours? Speak with your employer's human resource department.

HOUSING

Follow up with landlord or mortgage company to ensure alternative or deferred payment arrangements are set. Read about your rights HERE.

CHILDCARE

Experiencing loss of employment? File for unemployment insurance benefits with the Utah Department of Workforce Services.
